Randy
Braaten, Office
Manager, Treasurer, Grammar & Missions Instructor Growing
up in the state of Washington in a Christian family that emphasized the importance
of missions, Randy was saved and felt the call of God at an early age. He attended
Seattle Bible College. Then, after making ten short-term mission trips to Mexico,
Central America, France and the Philippines he moved to Uruapan, Michoacan, Mexico.
He married Lynn in 1986 and together they returned to Uruapan. There, Randy taught
for 12 years in the Instituto Bíblico Emanuel while also traveling to teach
in towns and villages throughout the region. Lynn attended the University of Washington
for four years and competed on the Huskies' swim team, but upon becoming a Christian
she withdrew to attend Seattle Bible College for another four years. Like Randy,
she has made a number of short-term missions trips. They have six children. After
13 years they left Mexico and moved to Seattle. While teaching at Seattle Bible
College, Randy received and accepted an invitation to teach at King's Way in 1999.
At KWMI Randy is one of the main teachers and the Treasurer of the Board.
