Powerful prayer rising from the Rio Grande Valley to the Throne of God

A Word from the Founders: Ben and Ruth MacMiller

Over the last couple of years Ruth and I have become involved in the prayer movement. We are connecting with various prayer networks on the Internet and have visited the World Prayer Center in Colorado Springs,CO and the International House of Prayer in Kansas City, MO. Two years ago I went on a prayer journey with 300 intercessors to Morocco. We were given permission by the government to pray in Jesus' name in the cities and towns where evangelism was and is a crime. We are involved in various intercessory organizations such as "Pray Texas" and "U.S. Prayer Network."

Both of us are blessed with a heritage of praying parents. Whenever we stayed with Ruth's parents we would hear them praying in the kitchen at 5:00 A.M. for revival and for each of their ten children, all of whom are Christians today. My parents were prayer warriors who practiced fasting. My Dad fasted throughout his adult life. In 1955 he fasted for 40 days on water alone. Before the fast was up, all five of us children were brought into the Kingdom, and God even baptized us in the Holy Spirit.

When a friend offered us a piece of property, we felt God wanted us to open a prayer center here on the Texas-Mexico border. Even though that property did not materialize, the vision was born in our hearts. We dedicated and deeded 3/4 of an acre of our back yard to King's Way Missionary Institute to build a prayer center. It will contain a chapel, missions library, and private prayer/healing rooms.

About the Healing Rooms

As a house of prayer, we are including "healing rooms." This idea comes from the John G. Lake Healing Rooms of Washington during the early 1900's. My associate, Art Beckwith, has established this ministry in our area. He has trained teams of intercessors in the area of praying with needy people. In fact, the healing rooms are already open in their temporary location and we have begun to minister healing for body, soul and spirit. As the vision becomes a reality, we will keep you informed on the progress of the construction and of the prayer activities.

Contruction of Prayer Center Underway

Last December construction began. A lot of missionaries and friends -- seeing the need for a place of consecrated prayer -- have given a hand. A friend who is a retired concrete contractor from Chicago, Lars Svensson, brought down men and equipment. He has made over 70 missions trips to literally build God's Kingdom. They laid the foundations and poured the floors.

In January and February, a team of six couples came from the voluntary organization called the "SOWERs" (Servants On Wheels Ever Ready). They raised and insulated the metal building. During their last two days they framed the partitions for the rooms. God has used many volunteers to create a miracle. The building is up and presently we are wiring for electricity and phones. I am not a builder but God has His builders. There is much more to be done so PRAY that God will speak to His people to either come down and build or send the finances for materials to complete the Prayer Center. We believe this project will have a worldwide impact for Jesus. If you want to help in this vision you may designate an offering to the Prayer Center -- but write your check to "KWMI" and mail to:

Construction of a Vision

Daily Prayer Covering

Dear Heavenly Father, I pray in the power of the Holy Spirit, and in the Name of Jesus I bind, rebuke and bring to no effect the spirits of: Anger, division and discord, falsehoods, criticism, fear, hindrance, poverty, witchcraft (Jezebel, Delilah & Apollyon), retaliatory spirits, religious spirits and spirits of antichrist.

I am a child of God. I resist the devil. No weapon formed against me shall prosper. I put on the whole armor of God. I take authority over this day, in Jesus name, as I walk in obedience in the love of the Lord. For this is the day that the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad.

Jesus, I repent of my sins. Fill me with your Holy Spirit.
Holy Spirit lead and guide me today:
To discern between the righteous and the wicked;
To take authority over Satan and all his demons and those people influenced by him.

I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. I am God's property. I will walk in the spirit and exemplify His fruit, which is: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

Satan, you're under my feet and you're bound from my family, my mind, my home and my finances: For greater is God who is in me than the god of this world.

I confess that I am healed and whole in Jesus Name. Whatsoever God sets my hands to do shall prosper, because my God shall supply all my needs according to His riches in Glory.

I pray that You will anoint me this day to effectively minister Your plans and purposes including divine appointments and open doors of opportunities; for I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

I claim a hedge of protection of dispatched angels around myself, my spouse, and each of my children and grandchildren (mention them by name), throughout this day and night; and that the blood of Jesus covers our souls, bodies and possessions at home, at work and as we travel. Protect us from physical and mental demonic attacks and all curses.

I ask this prayer in the precious name of Jesus.
Amen.
